Meet The My Family Dental Team

Meet Sherry!

Sherry is a proud graduate of the Dental Assisting Program at SAIT, in Calgary, having earned her degree in 1972. With a 50 year career in the field of dentistry, she has been a dedicated and valuable employee of My Family Dental for the last 25 years. Sherry is very proud of the quality dentistry and the caring atmosphere at My Family Dental, making special note of Dr. Robinson’s honest and compassionate nature as a dental professional. Outside of work, Sherry enjoys running and traveling. In 2014, Sherry had the opportunity to travel to China with her daughter for three weeks, and in the same year, ran her first marathon at the age of 60! She hopes to continue traveling in the future. Currently Sherry enjoys visits to her cabin in BC, as well as lots of time spent with her 4 grandchildren in Calgary.

Meet Amanda!

Amanda has been in customer service for over 32 years, including 16 years in the UK before moving to Canada. She’s thoughtful, funny, and always dependable, making her a great fit for the My Family Dental team. Amanda loves meeting new people and working alongside her coworkers to provide the best care.

You’ll find her crafting with her aunt or looking after her three male llamas when she’s not at work. Amanda once wanted to be a nurse, and she’s still got that caring spirit. In the next five years, she’s dreaming of travelling to places like St. Lucia and Disney World!

Meet Jenna!

Jenna attended Grant McEwan University in Edmonton, graduating with a diploma in Early Childhood Education. Always keeping a positive outlook, Jenna enjoys the challenges that her job presents and welcomes the different roles she gets to play on a daily basis. Jenna has traveled extensively, hiking both Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa and the Inca Trail in South America, in addition to spending five months in Thailand volunteering at a baby home. In the future, she and her husband would love to visit Spain, Portugal and Morocco with their two boys.

Meet Sonya!

Sonya is a valuable member of the My Family Dental administration team. Humble, kind and caring, Sonya is passionate about meeting all different kinds of people and creating a safe and friendly environment where everyone feels welcome. Sonya completed her training at Columbia College in Calgary, and is a welcome addition to the My Family Dental team! When not busy at work, Sonya loves photography and videography, especially creating new content and practicing her editing skills. She has two adorable dogs named Mason (purebred Shih tzu) and Dixon (Shih tzu/Yorkie cross).
